Good needle retention, strong branches and soft needles
Against:
This tree is still too new to Britain to have discovered any problems
This is a completely new tree to Britain and with its good needle holding natural full foliage of attractive grey blue needles soft to touch but growing on strong branches this is definitely one to look out for in the future! Luckily for us our soil and rainfall is ideal for this species. Its natural range is as a 'Sub Alpine' tree of South West America where it grows slowly producing a thick soft corky bark - hence it's common name.Cut trees will not be available for sale until 2007 but we do sell potted Cork Firs.
